Dear Colleagues!
We are pleased to invite you to take part in the third international scientific
and practical conference “Current Problems of Foreign Language Philology,
Educational and Socio-cultural Process” to be held December 8-9, 2017.
Themed sessions:
- Current problems of research in phonetics, grammar, vocabulary, semantics, pragmatics and text linguistics.
- Comparative Literature: tradition and modernity.
- Problems of contrastive linguistics and translation.
- Professional foreign language training in the process of cross-cultural integration.
- Theoretical and practical aspects of teaching foreign languages in multicultural education.
- Training in foreign languages of people with special needs.
Conference working languages: Ukrainian, Russian, English, German, French, Polish.

Deadline for submission is November 20, 2017.
Publication fees:
1) Scientific Issues of Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University. Series: Pedagogy – 350 UAH per article.
2) Scientific Issues of Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University. Series: Linguistics – 40 UAH per page.
Publication fee is to be paid after admission of the article for publication.
3) Сonference abstracts collection – 200 UAH per abstract.
Registration fee is 100 UAH.
Participants must pay for their travel and accommodation. The price for accommodation at the dormitories of TNPU varies from 145 to 252 UAH per day.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PAPERS
- The articles are checked for plagiarism. As well, the Journals use double-blind review procedure. The abstracts are also checked for plagiarism.
- According to the requirements of Ministry of Education of Ukraine a typical scientific article in professional journals should have the following structure: scientific and practical problems; topicality and novelty of research; the connection of the article with important scientific and practical tasks; analysis of recent research; findings; conclusions; prospects of the study.
- The articles are to be written in Ukrainian, Russian or English. The total number of pages is 12-16, including abstracts and references, A4 and the file in a Word for Windows 6.0, 7.0, 10.0 Postgraduate students, authors without scientific degree submit an article with a review of a supervisor or expert.
- The computer version of the manuscript must meet the following requirements: Article printed in Word for Windows 6.0, 7.0 fonts Times New Roman. Margins: top and bottom – 2,0 cm, left – 2.5 cm, right – 1,0 cm. Indention: 1.25 cm. Pages are numbered.
Text of the article is made according to the following:
- UDC index, with no paragraph indention, aligned left.
- Next line – the initials and surname(s) of the author(s), capitalized letters, aligned right.
- Next line – the article title in bold, capitalized letters, centre aligned. The title should be short (no more than eight words) and reflect the content of the article.
- Next line – The abstract in the language of the article, 10-12 lines, the word “abstract” is not used, with paragraph indention, font Times New Roman, font size12, 1 interspaced.
- Next line – key words, 4-6 words, italics, bold, with paragraph indention, font Times New Roman, font size12, 1 interspaced.
- Then, with one line interval, the initials and surname of the author(s), title, abstract and keywords translated into Russian and English (if the article is written in Ukrainian). If the article is written in Russian, this part is provided in Ukrainian and English if in English – Ukrainian and Russian, respectively.
- Then, with one line interval, the text of the article. Printed with indentation, Times New Roman, 14, 1.5 interspaced.
- The text of the article should include the objective formulated in one sentence.
- References are provided in the text in square brackets []. The first figure corresponds to the source in the bibliography section, and then after comma the letter p. (which stands for the page) and a figure, meaning the page number in the bibliography section, to which the reference is made. If the brackets contain reference to two or more sources, they are separated by a semicolon (;).
- Tables, charts, figures, diagrams should be authorized and not copied from other publications. The word “Table” and its number are written in italics above, right aligned. Next line – table title, centre aligned. Other illustrations, numbered, have their centre aligned titles typed below them.
- Formulae are to be typed in a separate line, with no indention, centre aligned, numbered in Arabic numerals in parentheses on the right side of the page.
- The references are provided in the next line after the text of the article. There should be included only those sources to which reference is made in the text. The word “References” written in capital letters, left aligned with indention. Below are the alphabetically numbered sources of literature, first in Cyrillic, then in Latin alphabet.
13. Transliterated references.
For Ukrainian transliteration to Latin text a free website http://www.translit.kh.ua (variant BG)) is used; for Russian transliteration a free website http://www.translit.ru (variant BSI) is used.
- The following punctuation marks are to be used in the article: quotation marks, apostrophe, dash (–), not a hyphen (-). A Colon is used without space.
- At the end of the article the date when it is sent must be specified.

Abstract requirements:
- MS Word must be used to write abstracts. The abstract files must contain the author’s family name (in Latin letters) and the number of the session, for example: Iwaniw_2.doc.
- Page settings: page size – А4 (210mm*297mm); orientation – portrait; margins: upper and bottom – 2,5cm, left – 3cm, right – 1cm; indentation – 1,25см; interval – 1,5; font -- Times New Roman; font size -- 14.
- The text must not contain any breaks; the inverted commas must be identical (« »); a dash must be distinguishable from a hyphen.
- Use Ctrl+Shift+Space to separate the author’s family name from the initials.
- Do not number the pages.
- Abstracts must have the following layout:
Title of the abstract (in capital letters, bold type, alignment – center). The second line should have the author’s first and last names on the right. The third line should have the name of the employer (name of the educational establishment in italics) and the name of the locality (unless it is included in the name of the educational establishment).
With 1 line interval after the abstract goes the word REFERENCES (bold letters, centre aligned), which is to be followed by list of references. References are provided in the text in square brackets []. The first figure corresponds to the source in the bibliography section, and then after comma the letter p. (which stands for the page) and a figure, meaning the page number in the bibliography section, to which the reference is made If the brackets contain reference to two or more sources, they are separated by a semicolon (;)
(References in abstracts are not obligatory).
